Open applications welcome

We are growing. Are you in?

De Brigade Contractors (DBC) is expanding. Right now we don't have specific vacancies posted, but we're happy to receive your open application. If there's a match on trade, timing and chemistry we'll get back to you quickly. Also relevant for self-employed craftspeople and subcontractors who want to team up with us.

Why build with DBC

Quality over quantity

We don't chase jobs just to shave margin. We take on what we can do well, and your craftsmanship stays at the centre.

Room to grow

Want to deepen a speciality, grow into foreman or a leadership role? We invest in people who want to build themselves and DBC.

Fair pay

Market-conforming salary, travel allowance, pension per the CAO. For self-employed: fair rates and prompt payment.

Small tight team

Short lines with the owner, no middle management creating obstacles. Decisions are made by the people who know the work.

Who fits at DBC?

Do you recognise yourself in one of these profiles? Then your application definitely lands with us personally.

Craftspeople

Carpenters, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, painters and landscapers. Permanent employment or via secondment.

Foremen & site managers

Responsible for planning, leading the crew and keeping clients happy. Experience with both renovation and infrastructure is a plus.

Apprentices (BBL)

Want to learn the trade? We offer BBL apprenticeships and make sure you work with experienced colleagues who take time to guide you.

Self-employed & subcontractors

We work regularly with self-employed craftspeople and smaller contractors on partial jobs. Reliable, fair rates, prompt payment.

Questions we hear often

I have little experience. Can I still apply?

Absolutely. We have apprenticeships (BBL) for people who want to learn the trade. More important than a long CV: work neatly, be curious and show up on time.

I am self-employed. How does that work?

We work regularly with self-employed craftspeople on partial jobs. Send an open application with your rate indication and availability; on a match we call quickly.

Do you also work with subcontractors?

Yes, for larger projects or specialist work. Also relevant for smaller regional contractors who occasionally want to take jobs via DBC.

How fast will I hear back?

Confirmation within 1 working day. On a match we call within 3 working days. No match right now? You still hear from us — we never leave applicants hanging.

I can only start in a few months. Is applying still useful?

Sure. We usually plan 4-8 weeks ahead but keep good candidates warm. Just fill in your realistic start date; we'll stay in touch until it fits.

Questions before applying?

Call or email directly with Badr, the owner. Discreet and personal.
